Gravel pit lake in Magyarszecsőd

As we were writing about fishing opportunities, we realized Highway 8 may even be called the “Anglers’ highway,” because there are several excellent fishing spots along its section between Körmend and Kám in Vas county.

The lake with an average depth of 2 meters is a whitewater lake that has an uneven bank and bed. The village of Magyarszecsőd near Körmend is popular all year around, several people choose the lake on the site of the old gravel pit for relaxation.

The lake—open 24/7 for fishing—is stocked with around 50 hundredweight noble fish annually, ensuring a high-quality fishing experience for everyone.
